Vernonia, Oregon is located on the ancestral and traditional lands of several Native peoples, including the Tualatin (Atfalati) Kalapuya, the Clatskanie, and the Tillamook. The living descendants of these peoples are primarily part of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon and the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians.

This place holds deep cultural, ecological, and historical significance. We gather with respect for the land and its original caretakers, and with a responsibility to act in ways that honor life, relationship, and reciprocity.

Registration FAQ

Is this a family-friendly event?
Yes. Children and family members are welcome! Each individual needs a ticket.

What should I bring?
Camping gear, flashlight, sturdy shoes, personal water vessels, warm layers, swimsuit, a towel, personal toiletries, a journal and pen, and items that support your comfort and participation.

Is there cell service?
Cell service is limited depending on the carrier.

Is there electricity at the campsites?
Campsites and RV parking spots do not have electricity. Please plan to bring your own batteries, power banks, and solar chargers. Let us know at Registration if you have a medical or other important need to access a power outlet.

Are pets allowed?
No pets are allowed, with the exception of authorized service animals.

Is this a Leave No Trace event?
Yes. Participants are expected to pack out what they bring in and care for the land collectively.

Are tickets refundable?
Tickets are transferable but non-refundable.

Will the Congress be livestreamed?

In order to maintain the integrity of the in-person event, we will not livestream.
Some video recordings of workshops may be shared after the event.

How can I participate if I cannot travel to the Congress to attend in person?
You are invited to join the TIBC Community on Hylo (focused on North America), or the Bioregional Commons (global), for conversation and connection. The Congress organizers will host a debrief session open to all after the Congress to share key outcomes and plans for the future. You can also host your own local bioregional gathering, or get involved with organizing the next continental Congress!

I want to book one of the indoor rooms, but am concerned that they will sell out. What should I do?

We will begin a waitlist when indoor accommodations begin to sell out. Email info@tibc11.earth for more information.

Do I have to rent linens?

No, the linens rental ADD ON is available for anyone renting an indoor accommodation (private indoor, private tent cabin, or shared bunkhouse) who does not want to bring their own pillow, sheets, blankets, and towel.

What are these ADD ONs anyway?!

An ADD ON is something that you purchase in addition to your congress ticket. If you plan to camp and are not bringing a vehicle, you won't need to purchase any add-ons, but for those who wish to book an indoor room, tent cabin, or bunkhouse space – or who need to rent linens or park a car or RV – those add-ons can be purchased in addition to your ticket.

I'm concerned about getting around the event venue. Will there be any mobility assistance for participants who have difficulty walking on uneven terrain or up/down hills?

We will have golf carts and volunteer drivers available to help anyone who needs assistance getting around the event site. Please let us know if you would like mobility assistance when you purchase your ticket.
